Kristin Fisher has joined CNN in July 2021 as the network's Space and Defense Correspondent. As a correspondent, she will cover everything including NASA's new Space Force to commercial space companies and space tourism. Kristin, her mother was one of NASA astronauts, and also an avid space fan was raised in the industry. She served for five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Biden and Trump administrations. During that time, she was also a reporter covering impeachment proceedings for the president and the 2020 presidential election and the efforts of two administrations in order to control the Coronavirus Pandemic. She traveled extensively with both the Vice President and the President included an exclusive trip to Afghanistan, which she took together with Donald Trump. Kristin worked her way through the local news markets of Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, as well as Washington, D.C. for more than a decade prior to becoming a part of the CBS network. She was awarded the Emmy Award in Washington, D.C. for her work as a CBS station's reporter who was a one-man band. Kristin's skills as a camerawoman led her to found Field Mouse Films which specialized creating documentary-style films for corporate customers including Uber Hotels & Resorts and Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin has a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism at Boston University. She and her husband, who is three years old, daughter reside in Washington, D.C.
